Who we are

MaxuGuru is a logic puzzle game. This policy explains what data the game uses, why it is used and how players can ask for it to be deleted.

Data we collect

When you play MaxuGuru, the game may use an anonymous player key stored in your browser or app web view. This helps save puzzle progress on the same device.

If you create an account, we store your username, email address, encrypted password, login session details and password reset tokens where needed.

When you submit a score, we store leaderboard information such as username, puzzle, difficulty, time, hints, mistakes and final score.

We also use analytics events to understand how people use the game, such as puzzle starts, completions, hints, resets, shares, errors and general gameplay behaviour.

Why we use this data

We use this data to run the game, save progress, provide accounts, submit scores, show leaderboards, prevent abuse, diagnose errors and improve MaxuGuru.

Local storage and cookies

MaxuGuru uses local storage and session cookies for things like account login, anonymous player progress, theme preference and gameplay state.

Analytics

MaxuGuru uses Google Analytics to measure gameplay and technical performance. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or puzzle answers to analytics.

Account deletion

If you are signed in, you can delete your account from the Account menu inside the game. Open Account, choose Delete account and follow the confirmation step.

Deleting your account removes your login, email, encrypted password, password reset tokens and active sessions. Leaderboard entries are anonymised as “Deleted player” so public scores can remain without identifying your account.
